Are you thinking we could take out the words "serves as a political voice for Palestinian-Americans and "? I'm trying to understand what you mean.
What I was trying to say was this: APPAF is not claiming to be a neutral party that want to simply see a just resolution to the conflict. They do want that, but they're principally aiming to be a voice that promotes the interests of Palestinians: specifically, the ones that are most likely to be supported by the American public at large. I spoke with Dr. Masri the other day, and he described the group as trying to motivate Palestinians in America to become more politically active, and trying to motivate potential allies (non-Palestinians) to support their causes. That's what I meant. If we took those words out, it would look as if the group only aimed to "promote non-violence, democracy in the Middle East, and a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict." They do promote these things, but I wanted to say they promote Palestinian interests. – Quadell(talk) (sleuth) 20:25, Mar 11, 2005 (UTC)
